Campaign approvals
Approval workflows add a review step before campaigns go live — useful for teams where brand, compliance, or budget sign-off is required.
How it works
When approvals are enabled:
- A team member creates a campaign and hits Submit for approval (instead of “Send”)
- The campaign enters the approval queue visible to designated approvers
- An approver reviews the campaign — audience, content, channel, schedule — and either approves or requests changes
- On approval, the campaign proceeds to its scheduled send time (or sends immediately if “Send now” was selected)
- If changes are requested, the creator revises and resubmits
Two approval modes
Active Reach supports two approval experiences depending on your workspace mode:
SMB mode (carousel)
A card-based interface where the approver sees one campaign at a time:
- Swipe through pending campaigns
- Quick Approve or Reject actions
- “Ask why” button for context from the creator
Best for: small teams with 1-2 approvers and low campaign volume.
Advanced mode (queue)
A full-featured approval dashboard:
- Table view of all pending, approved, and rejected campaigns
- Confidence scores and guardrail flags
- Defer 24h option for campaigns that need more review time
- Batch approve/reject for high-volume teams
Best for: agencies, enterprise teams, and high-volume operations.
Setting up approvals
- Go to Settings → Team → Roles & Permissions
- Create or edit a role with the
campaigns.approvepermission - Assign the role to team members who should review campaigns
Once at least one team member has the approval permission, the campaign builder shows “Submit for approval” instead of “Send.”
Approval in the agent queue
If your workspace uses Actii (the AI agent), campaign proposals from the agent also flow through the same approval queue. The agent generates the campaign — audience, content, timing — and a human approver reviews before it sends.
