Telegram

The Telegram pipe (the Telegram Chat Bridge) sends operational events from Active Reach into a Telegram group, and lets staff act on them right there. It’s how small teams run day-to-day operations without keeping a dashboard open.

This is the operations bridge. If you want agents to manage customer conversations in Telegram with rich profile/payment/loyalty cards, see Telegram inbox cards — a separate, conversation-focused surface that uses the same bot.

What flows into Telegram

EventWhat the team sees
New orderA forum topic per order with items, total, and fulfilment details
Order statusUpdates posted into that order’s topic
Delivery / riderAssignment + status, with Accept / Picked up / Delivered buttons for riders
Conversation escalationA topic with the conversation context when the AI hands off to a human

Each order or escalation gets its own forum topic, so threads never get tangled.

Connect

Create a group with topics

In Telegram, create a group and enable Topics in group settings. Add the Active Reach bot (@activereach_notify_bot) and make it an admin (it needs to create topics and post).

Get the chat id

Add the bot, then copy the group’s chat id (a negative number like -100…). The connect screen shows you how to retrieve it.

Connect in Active Reach

Go to Settings → Data Pipes → Telegram (or Connected Products → Active Chat → Telegram), paste the chat id, and choose which notifications to route (orders, delivery, escalations).

Test

Send a test notification from the connect screen — a message should appear in your group within seconds.

Rider actions

For in-house delivery, rider assignment messages carry inline buttons. A rider taps Accept → Picked up → Delivered; each tap updates the order and is recorded — no separate rider app required. Riders bind themselves once by DMing the bot /start <pin>.

Per-outlet routing

Multi-outlet brands can route each outlet’s orders to a different group or topic, so each store only sees its own operations. Configure this per location in the outlet’s settings.
