Workspace setup

When you create an account on Active Reach, the onboarding wizard walks you through four steps to get your workspace production-ready.

Step 1 — Business identity

Tell us about your business so the platform can tailor its defaults:

  • Business name — appears in your campaigns and customer-facing messages
  • Industry & sub-industry — unlocks industry-specific playbooks and benchmarks
  • Business model — B2C, B2B, D2C, marketplace, or hybrid
  • Brand colors — primary and accent colors used in email templates and in-app messages
  • Logo — uploaded and stored for use across channels

You can change all of these later in Settings → General. The onboarding choices are starting defaults, not permanent commitments.

Step 2 — Region & locations

Choose where your data lives:

  • Data region — India, US, EU, or auto-detect. This determines which cell your workspace runs in. Data never leaves the selected region.
  • Country — your primary operating country (affects currency, phone number formatting, compliance rules)
  • Store locations (optional) — if you have physical locations, add them here. Locations are first-class objects under your workspace — outlets share the brand-tenant’s contacts, segments, channels, and journeys, while per-outlet overrides (local hours, manager phone, payment merchant, sender mapping) attach via location_id. The chip strip on every dashboard page narrows the view to a single outlet.

Step 3 — Connect a data source

Optionally connect one of your existing data sources so the platform has contacts and events to work with on Day 1:

SourceWhat it syncs
ShopifyCustomers, orders, products, cart events
WooCommerceCustomers, orders, products
CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho)Contacts, deals, properties
CSV uploadAny contacts file — the column mapper auto-detects fields
Data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake)Scheduled imports

You can skip this step and connect sources later from People → Import or Settings → Data Pipes.

Review and accept:

  • Terms of Service
  • Privacy Policy
  • DPDP Act compliance agreement (for India-based businesses)

Once you accept, the workspace is created and you land on the dashboard. The entire setup takes under two minutes.

After setup

Your workspace is live but has no channels connected yet. Head to Settings → Channels to connect WhatsApp, email, SMS, or push — or follow the Five-minute quickstart for a guided path.
